So, maybe at 10pm every day, when I'm bound to be online. The reason I thought a cron job was the answer is that I want gpodder to run, allow episodes to download, then close, without my having to remember to do it manually. I just boot the computer and get a dialogue box which says "System program problem detected". Thanks Keith, Not sure what you mean by the terminal output from your previous post.
